Printed Parts
« on: January 18, 2018, 11:32:28 AM »
Hi Dave

Just received the printed parts for the Openlapse rig. See photo in previous post. They all look very neat and I'm really happy with them.
I just have one question. The base of the hotshoe box seems rather thin and I think it might have laminated slightly during printing.
The base is definitely thinner than the lid of the box - is this correct or should I ask for it to be reprinted?

Cheers
Ian

I should be fine. So you've decided to build a hot-shoe mount version as well as the time-lapse rail version? Good choice. I use my hot-shoe version when I want to do a quick tripod mounted time-lapse.
Regards,
Dave.

Hi Dave
Yes, I decided to build both units. As you say; don't always need the rails.
I've tested the motor controller unit and 5V seems to be coming out of the DC-DC unit. So I'm ready to connect to the motor. Which connections should I use on the board - the A+- or the B+-  ? Is there a schematic - couldn't see one on Github.
The really hard part for me is going to be the flashing the OpenLapse binary.  I'm going to try and find someone who can help - I'll keep you posted.
Regards
Ian
